The Cornell Campus Club offers English classes to spouses and partners of
international students and to visiting scholars. Classes are open to both men
and women. Classes focus on communication skills and are taught by experienced
volunteers.This is an informal service which provides no accreditation or support for
visa applications.. Each classmeets once per week for 2 hours, and students may take
up to 3 classes each week.Classes are held on or near campus

LOCAL ENGLISH PROGRAMS

Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3)
TC3 offers intermediate and advanced level courses designed to help students
develop their English language ability to a level sufficient to successfully undertake college level
study in the U.S. Interested students should contact the admissions office at 844-8211, extension 4320.
ESOL Program



BOCES
TSTBOCES ESL (http://www.tstboces.org/teacherpage.cfm?teacher=1290)
Boces offers ESL classes at all levels to anyone over 21 years of age (and not
holding a US high school diploma) living in the Ithaca area. Courses are offered in the morning
and evening in downtown Ithaca. Students have an opportunity to practice English speaking,
reading, and writing skills. Enrollment is ongoing. Students must
make an appointment for a placement test by calling 273-4095.

Office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


Language Expansion Program provides conversation partners for anyone
interested in learning, improving or teaching a language. They service students in language classes,
contact the Public Service Center at 200 Barnes Hall or contact Julie Daum at jad52@cornell.edu.
